Group Time: Social and Emotional Development, language and literacy development, Cognitive development (Social systems understanding), creativity, approaches to learning. (Preschoolers and toddlers) While welcoming our preschoolers to daycare, we will be also encouraging the toddlers to sit down with us and participate as well.
Toddlers: Who came to daycare today? How are we feeling, Happy/sad/excited? (As I say the emotion, I will act it out for the child to see.) We will go over our colors and shapes. We will read our book, "If your happy and you know it".
Preschool: We will go over our help wanted, calendar, weather, and how we feel today? We will continue talking about our healthy hearts. Today's topic will be food.. What is healthy foods to eat? What kinds of foods do you like to eat? Is it a healthy choice or once in while kind of choice?

Science: Why must we wash our hands? We will do a glitter experiment, we will rub glitter all over our hands, and then we have to try really hard to wash off the glitter. We'll see how easy this is. We will discuss, how long, and when it's appropriate to wash our hands.
