Pirates week.

Group Time: Social and Emotional Development, language and literacy development, Cognitive development (Social systems understanding), creativity, approaches to learning. (Preschoolers and toddlers) Whiling welcoming our preschoolers to daycare, we will be also encouraging the toddlers to sit down with us and participate as well.

We will go over our help wanted, calendar, weather, and how we feel today? We will sum up what we've talked about all week. What our favorite part was? We will also discuss what we will be talking about next week too.

 Skills: Cognitive development, motor development, approaches to learning, language and literacy development. (Preschoolers)

-Shape of the week "Circle". (Toddler)

-Color of the week "Purple". (Toddler)

-Number of the week "3".

-Today I will hand out paper plates with numbers writing them. Each preschooler will have to go around looking for that many objects that the plates says. The toddlers will be encouraged to count with us.

Creativity and art arts (Toddler and preschool)

Art: The preschoolers will trace and cut out a pirate hat shape, and the preschoolers and toddlers will decorate their hats with crayons.

Physical and motor development (Preschool and Toddler)

Outside: We will play, this is what I can do.. One friend will be called on and they have to show us a large motor movement they can do and the rest of their friends have to try to copy that move. The toddlers will be encouraged to participate.

Free play: Physical and motor development (Fine, gross motor development), Cognitive development, Language development. (Preschool and toddler)

Puzzles, books, cars, baby dolls, mega blocks, big building blocks, large legos. Magnets.
